[TIBCO Spotfire] Multiple tabs and visualizations, one data source

I have a dashboard that has multiple tabs and visualizations that's linked to (one) source, some of the tabs use the same information link, while the rest uses another. When the dashboard is opened via Spotfire client, does each tab/information link read from the single data source

For example I have 5 tabs, 3 uses Information Link A and 2 uses Information Link B, but they all have the same data source. Will Spotfire read from the source 5 times

No, Spotfire refreshes datatables. So if you have two datatables linked to source to an information link, those two datatables will be refreshed once.

Datatables are not refreshed per tab or per visualization when using information links or imported data.
