How can customize legend in visualization?

Hello,

I'm using combination chart with Bar and Line.

It's weekly performance number and it's 13wma performance number from same site, totally have 5 sites in my database.

So there are 10 legends are shown in visualization by using default legend.

my question is how could I change it from 10 to 5 legends? and I just need it show the 5 site name only, don't need Y axis name.

Hi David,

here is the screenshot, sorry can't share all due to confidential.

basically you can see there are line and bar in that and are categorized by color, 1 color mean 1 site, so total 6 site.

If show the legend, it have 12 legends in the right which I don't want.

I just need 6 legends and just show site name only(don't show 13wma and weekly 10k).

is any idea I can do that? I'm trying to use by scripting, but still learning.

Hi John,

Thank you for the screenshot.
I assume you use a combination chart in which you have line series and bar series. If that is correct, you have defined 6 bar series and 6 line series. And although you have them colored in the same way (so Site A bar and line have the same color), it 'creates' a legend entry for each series.

And you're trying to find a way to just portray the color of the Site, not the breakdown in all 12 series.
Is that the correct understanding?

Kind regards,

David

Hi John,

I'm afraid there isn't a possible way to do this for the time being.

I have checked the ideas portal, where a lot of similar enhancements requests have been logged. But they're all under consideration. You may want to vote for one the ideas, for example this one:

Kind regards,

David
