Can we perform any additional functions using iron python which cannot be implemented using the spotfire analyst . if possible what are they? 2. To answer your questions, yes there are functions in Spotfire that require iron python (or TERR/Python) that are not 'doable' otherwise. Using/calling internal API's for instance, can be done via Iron Python, not directly via any menu entry. Same is true for a lot of automated tasks, which can be put behind 'a click of a button'.
